Kid Cub

About

Kid Cub accommodates two children, and grows with them from infancy to the teen years. It is the size of a standard cub, divided into two smaller spaces by a wall that, like other internal walls, is well-insulated against sound. Each space has a loft area furnished with a full-sized mattress and equipped with storage cabinets that double as nightstands. Electrical outlets with USB ports are within easy reach.

The area below the loft is outfitted with closets and cabinetry that can be modified as a child grows. The crib has adjustable mattress height and converts to a toddler bed. Doors can be removed from the third cabinet for easy access to shelves and a diaper changing area and used instead as crib ends.

When the child is old enough to move “upstairs” to the loft area, the crib converts to a workstation. The mattress platform becomes a desk, and over-crib cabinet doors can be removed and used instead as workstation shelves. Crib ends become doors for the third cabinet.

The workstation features a pegboard, and the desk has a hole on one side just above electrical outlets for easy organization of wires and cables. Shelves offer plenty of room for toys, books, a desktop computer, printer and more.
